Day Three - Watson Lake to Whitehorse

I got another early start this morning.   My goal: Watson Lake to Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon Territories.

For most of the day I had the Alaska Highway pretty much to myself.   This reminded me of my trip 2 years ago when I went to Alaska and rented an RV.   Not much traffic on the highway.  I sure hope I have no mechanical problems.

Once again - just like yesterday - plenty of bear, moose and bison grazing right next to the highway.   Including a baby cub that was walking in the breakdown lane!   This guy was content to wallow in the dirt and soak up the sun while watching me carefully.  Just yards from my car!

The Village of Teslin is midway between Watson Lake and Whitehorse.   Purdy, huh? ...

And finally, after decades of hearing about Whitehorse, I made it!!   And now I'm off to photograph a few scenes of the lively downtown action.  More will be revealed...tomorrow!
