Crossing the border into Alberta was easy. I left Glacier very early, so I was the only person at the border crossing when I arrived!
The first thing that struck me as I entered Alberta were the fields of endless yellow flowers on both sides of the highway. I've learned that it's canola. I took a video that shows both sides of the highway filled with these flowers for as far as the eye can see, but it won't download; takes too long. Perhaps the file's just too large. But here's a photo...although the yellow in the photo isn't as nearly as vibrant as in real life. ???
One of the first towns I came to is Cardston, about 5 blocks long. Cardston's claim to worldly fame is through it's famous daughter, Fay Wray. And don't any of you DARE to ask "Who's Fay Wray?"

The center photo shows a weather-beaten explanation of Ms. Wray's fame and her many films. The photo to the right is a modest but attractive fountain built in her honor. I was unaware of the fact that Ms. Wray appeared in over 80 Hollywood films. That's impressive. I thought the fountain was rather small in comparison to her having appeared in so many films. Of course, her claim to fame may have been her ability to utter bone-chilling screams of absolute terror and whimper convincingly in abject fear. May we each have our claim to fame, eh?
Who could possibly forget Fay Wray as Daisy in The Sea God?
